hmu if u agree
It certainly is! But analyzing frequencies as thesh3ll pointed out and how kicks move is very insightful, I think. And Nitrax I do agree that might have been a more politically correct way of saying itZak wrote:At first sight i thought it was a troll thread. But you are actually serious with that![]()

Be carefull, ripping and taking inspiration are 2 very different things.Neutronic wrote:Can anyone recommend some tracks with clean kicks to rip?

Some newer tracks would be awesome people!

Why asking it!? Use your own creativity..

You get tons from ripping a kick. Especially if youre playing with filters to find out where the energy is and comparing multiple different kicks to find similarities and differences. Its all about how one likes to work, I prefer a very technical approach to it while others might enjoy just fiddling about with effects all day which is equally fineBlack-Out wrote:Why asking it!? There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with using sampled kicks when you're first starting off - WE ALL DID IT!
As long as you aren't making money off of it, you're all good.

Here's a good one.
Actually, professional mixers advice you to use reference material and I see nothing wrong with in doing the same with a kick. Keep in mind that a kick doesn't have to be fully clean ripped in order to analyse it properly tho
But, to add something to the topic, Wilde gullie bass

@neutronic: think I wrote wrong, I ment it more like: why asking where to rip, you got your own pair of ears
