Re: Knife Party - Power Glove realase !!
"Would actually rather listen to the sound of a worm walking across cardboard"
How is that not funny? and i completely agree with him as well. The type of dubstep he is talking about is boring and overdone

I really don't see how he's being a dick. What he said isn't exactly wrong.zanshi wrote:rob isn't funny. joel is, at least it's my kind of humor.
rob is just a dick, a fucking talented dick, but still a dick.
but HEY we have several cases of talented dickyness in hardstyle too, hm?

Whole EP being streamed here http://thissongissick.com/blog/2013/kni ... p-full-ep/
All I can say is that Rob Swire is lost in music. It was from all the beginning
The first Pendulum tracks were great! Than they started to make vocal tracks, was kinda nice to hear them too, then Live Acts... For some reason that was a great idea again, but still it wasn't that Pendulum from the beginning... After that Knife Party, their first tracks were kinda okay, but now he already doesn't like it... And started to make sh*t like this last EP, my friend is a big fan of him and what he does, and so I know a lot about them, cuz he talks a lot about them when he is drunk
Rob still tries to search a place for him in music industry, tries different ways, different styles, but at the end he gives up. They have so lots of demos from Knife Party, and they just release Internet Friends VIP which was made about 2 years ago? Lazy asses I would say.
Overall I think that Live Acts were the best point in his carrer, cuz they were signed on Warner Music, it's great I think, and as I remember they signed for 3 Albums ( In Silico, Immersion, ??? ) But as he said Pendulum project is dead, or is it not, who knows...

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

What are you talking about? The reason he started Knife Party with Gareth was because he wanted a platform to release the stuff that he wanted to produce. The only thing he's mentioned that he dislikes about Knife Party is that he's tired of producing brostep. Anyway, how does producing tracks different from the typical KP style mean that he's tired of the project? I'm pretty sure producing the same style over and over again would make him tired of it.VOL-E wrote:All I can say is that Rob Swire is lost in music. BTW, the Internet Friends VIP is barely a year old...
first time it was played in the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012, so yea maybe 1,5 years old, but still how can you release such an old track, when you have that "Baghdad" track which is a new one?BTW, the Internet Friends VIP is barely a year old...
After that there was tweet, about something like this "Okay, this is want we want, Knife Party isn't a side project anymore, I think we will stay on this route". So it's like again, oh new crowd, new gigs, new money, lets stay here untill, we will get bored? The reason he started Knife Party with Gareth was because he wanted a platform to release the stuff that he wanted to produce.

Pendulum dnb - got tired started Live Acts...
Pendulum Live Act, got tired of gigs, started KP...
Knife Party - tired of brostep, what will be next?
That's pretty weird if you ask me, to jump like this. Althought, Gareth still makes Pendulum dj sets from time to time, but with very old material, so his sets are rather boring than interesting. But sometimes it's good to hear their old Pendulum sound.

Here you gohow can you release such an old track, when you have that "Baghdad" track which is a new one?
Spoiler

And what makes you think they're gonna get bored. Seems like you're just assuming things. After that there was tweet, about something like this "Okay, this is want we want, Knife Party isn't a side project anymore, I think we will stay on this route". TIL producing multiple genres means you can't find your own style. With that logic, the majority of producers in the dance music scene can't find their own style seen as a lot of them produce multiple genres.So... wasnt that the thing I was talking about? He can't find his own style of music?
