Re: [21/06/2013] Defqon.1 Festival [NL]
Could someone be kind to help me, please? What time does the end show end? Best mate & myself travelling from UK to Defqon then got to be in Rotterdam by Sunday night / early hours Monday morning to meet another mate, haha

Dunno how its gonna be this year but saturdays end was always at 23:00/11:00pm

Hopefully gonna be going as well with a mate or two, planning on being there the whole weekend!
For people asking the whole trip is gonna cost around
£350
Ticket is 85£ (Whole weekend)
Flights ~£100 return (From Glasgow) Yours will vary depending on where you are
Food/Drinks etc ~£100 Depends how much you drink. You are allowed to take a certain amount of juice into the event but I cannot remember the limit. I think one 2l bottle is the limit.
+ Train/bus w.e to the event..

What would you advice being the best times to fly before and after the event so plenty of time to get to the airport but not to much so your waiting for around 6h. Then again can always go to a coffeehouse

Well, the event doesn't start until late in the afternoon (as people in Holland will have to finish work/college/uni etc).Pivotphone wrote:What would you advice being the best times to fly before and after the event so plenty of time to get to the airport but not to much so your waiting for around 6h. We are planning on leaving Friday morning (around 10/11 - flight at 10/11) then heading straight to the event I think, depends when it starts of course. The event finishes around 11PM on Saturday night, not sure what the plans are. May find a premier inn or something of the like for the night, spend the day in Amsterdam and then head home.

I hope you mean sunday night. Does this mean you can't camp to the monday morning because that willl bring all kinds of complications. Thanks for the info about when it officially started.
Who are you going with flying becuase if your going with a budget airline then what about all the tents, rollmats and sleeping bags?

Ooops lmao. Yeah, meant Sunday! I don't think you can camp into Monday morning.. I will be flying with KLM and a 2man tent wont be heavy.. There are budget airlines which flag up indications of checked baggage fees but there are a few that don't have this indication that are still within the same sort of price range. The tent can be brought on as hand luggage and will cost you 15£ each way if stated before going to the airport. Your bag pack will be free from what I know..Pivotphone wrote:I hope you mean sunday night. Does this mean you can't camp to the monday morning because that willl bring all kinds of complications. The flight may have to be on a Monday as the latest flight I can find at the moment is 9PM (Departure) and I am sure the event finishes 11PM.

God damn that is a huge pain! Im just hopeing your wrong becasuse it does say
"Weekend warriors unite! From Friday June 21st through Monday June 24th, "
Otherwise the cost keeps rising! I was looking at a ferry honestly becuase it's abotu 1h drive from me and normally around 70£. But the best bit is that you don't have to worry about how much you bring.

I was looking at ferries too but was more expensive than flying.Pivotphone wrote:God damn that is a huge pain! Im just hopeing your wrong becasuse it does say
