Weekend warriors unite! From Friday June 21st through Monday June 24th, the event area of Biddinghuizen will once again be the stage for Defqon.1 Festival. The days and times of this year’s edition differ from last year, so please read the following article carefully.



This year, Q-dance has decided to program Saturday and Sunday as the two main festival days. The campsite, however, will open on Friday, so people have a chance to enjoy a full Defqon.1 weekend experience. Just like last year, The Gathering will take place on Friday at the massive RED stage.

Right after work or school, you can pick up your bags and head up to Biddinghuizen to join us for the official opening of the festival! Saturday will run as it always has, one full day of all out open festival terrain for you to explore and enjoy. The big fat bonus will be Sunday, as it will be another great festival day, with “The Closing” bringing the RED stage to an end.



Defqon.1 officially starts with the campsite opening for business on Friday night. Check in to our 5-star campsite and find the perfect place for your tent. Open a beer, gather your friends, enjoy the sun, get some groceries and maybe even place a call to mother. On Friday evening all the weekend warriors will come together at the main stage for a special uniting ritual we like to call The Gathering. Saturday is the day that you will be able to enjoy Defqon.1 to the fullest. Together with dedicated party-people from all around the world, the colors of the harder styles will unite us and lead us to victory! And of course, a weekend warrior doesn’t stop when the going gets tough… The afterparty will be a legendary one!


As you wake from your slumber on Sunday morning, you can rejoice in knowing that the party is only halfway through. Fight your hangover like a soldier with a freshly fried egg and a beer. Make sure you are up and running before 11 am, because we’ll be expecting you at the festival area. Six areas will be open for the true weekend warriors: BLACK, BLUE, GOLD, UV, WHITE and MAGENTA. At 20:00 hrs sharp, everyone will get together at the RED for the official Closing of Defqon.1 Festival 2013.



Q-dance always wants to make sure Defqon.1 Festival is available for everyone. Next to programming both Saturday and Sunday, we have also reduced the price of a Weekend Ticket to 95 Euros, instead of 140 Euros asked last year. With the Weekend Ticket you will actually be getting more great time to party, at a better price. This includes 2 full festival days, 3 closing shows, and the Q-dance style 5-star campsite.

The Weekend Tickets will go on sale Saturday April 6th at 13:00 (CEST), only at Q-dance.com.

A limited number of Saturday tickets will be available for 70 Euros. However, these tickets will only give you access to the festival on Saturday from 11:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs (CEST).

Saturday Tickets will start a week later, on the 13th of April at 13:00 hrs, on Q-dance.com.


The line-up and anthem will be released within a few weeks. We’ve been keeping it a secret, but we can’t keep quiet any longer. This year’s official Defqon.1 Festival anthem will be created by none other than Frontliner. Stay tuned for more details!
