My HS-Vocals sound bad
I tried sometimes to make vocals like in Nothingness (casually I posted the same song in another topic abaout how to make a sound, for thoose who don´t know it) or many other Hardstyle tracks but I simply can´t do it right. When pitching them down in FL they sound more and more like a fat guy speaking with a dumpling in his mouth until "a"s sound like "o"s and you can´t understand what´s said anymore.
Than, when placing the voice in the soung, it just doesn´t fit somehow, it´s like something cutted out from somewhere else, total different sound, lacks volume, I tried everything from stereowidening, to chorus and reverb delay overdrive, everything but I can´t get thoose huge dark vocals which surround you in breaks and before drops with that clear shimmering Hardstyle-Quality.
Maybe I should say also that I haven´t particularly a deep, male voice and not a loud one too (anyway I wouldn´t like to scream my lyrics into the mic so that all my neighbours hear..you can get what my songs would be about when you look at my Username) but I thought trough good processing one couldn´t hear the difference, am I wrong?
I´d really like to put some dark vocals into my tracks as that´s the only big thing which is missing right now to make my songs sound complete.

One solution - buy the vocals.. Some just done have the voice for doing it them selves..
And where/how/from who could I buy them. Do I need a vocalist?UNIFITE wrote:One solution - buy the vocals.. Some just done have the voice for doing it them selves..

I disagree. In most Hardstyle tracks on a certain point somebody is speaking. I don´t mean singing but thoose things like a darkpitched voice saying "Hardstylers from all over the world, unite!" and after that some melody goinig on. I don´t know how you would call this, I would call it vocals.solidfunk wrote:or dont use vocals? they dont belong in hardstyle anyways.
If you are able to find to find 3 popular tracks by known producers without any voice or a (famous) Hardstyle-producer himself which does never implement voice into his songs, I would change my statement.
I´m more into Hardcore tough, but I think it´s the same thing for both generes, just that in Hardcore such darkpitched vocals get less use than in HS.

That´s sad. I´d have some great ideas but I can´t realize them.SCH wrote:I fou don't have a deep voice to begin with, it's gonna be hard to get a really fat, deep vocal...
And on normal pitch my voice also sounds shit...I´m just not the person with a powerful voice

Google for "Voice overs", "Speaker persons" etc.. There are plenty of companies providing it.. Some cheap, some expensive..

You don't really know what you're talking about, do you?solidfunk wrote:or dont use vocals? they dont belong in hardstyle anyways.
Hooks are an important aspect in hardstyle, and vocals can serve that purpose well.

Just play the vocal sample at a lower note, and it'll get deep.Dj Reaper wrote:That´s sad. I´d have some great ideas but I can´t realize them.SCH wrote:I fou don't have a deep voice to begin with, it's gonna be hard to get a really fat, deep vocal...
