How Do They Do it? *New Topic?*

Post by sveinn95 »

I wanted to make a topic where you can ask "How do they do it?" and post a link to what you want to know.
And if you know how, you post your answer.

So here i start. :one: :one:

How Do They Do the voice pitch shift thingy?

Like the track "I'm The Melody Man" is based on.

http://youtu.be/Kxt_PkGzA5o?t=26s

Also in "Soundstorm" and "Forever" with Wildstylez.

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

I thinks there's a bitcrusher somewhere in there, too.

well the voices thing is actually a lead! he probably made it with massive or a virus but anyways you can follow my tut and play around with it :p
BUT I think there is probably a voice layer involved in there with some editing like may be dist chorus phaser and stuff!

by the way thanks for sharing my tut :p

I thought you meant voice pitch shifting as in this track

:p Not that I know how to to that, except for maybe aggressive sample cutting and pitching :p

The lead in Melody Man sounds like the Virus TI's vocoder even down to the movement of the vowels.

The one in Soundstorm sounds like some extremely autotuned and chopped up vocals rather than a synth.

Try finding a formant filter and putting that on a lead and sweeping between the different vowels.

Is the same thing with "Forever" and as in "Soundstorm"? vocal chopping and autotune?

Thanks for the reply tho :D
