Sorry OP, don´t want to take the thread over, I´ll shut up after this question :)
Hope I don´t get some kind of spammer-reputation here on the forum, as I am quiet new to it but like it a lot!
The Vst doesn't matter its all about the sound output,I know some producers who use junglist/hydra for leads lol,but see you need to put this in mind, its not about how much Vst's you have or high tech equipments you have its all about how well you utilize them, many producers have these things but have no clue how to utilize them to its best potential :)

To conclude my statement,do what you feel is right and don't try to copy the others :D
Edit: I always put reverb on Snares, Claps and Hats, basically on almost every Sound, except Kicks and Basses...good idea?
Reverb on claps, snares and hats good idea!,but try experimenting with stuff why not add a reverb to kicks and basses, there is no law that its forbidden to add reverb on them, experimenting will boost your level up :D

Too much reverb on everything will make your mixdown crappy and would be like everything's played in a huuuuge church, which you don't want. You can do a little bit of reverb though. But be careful.

OT: Ever tried googling samples? There's a shitload of samples everywhere... Just google harder. And if you vcan't find free samples, buy them...

That´s exactly how it sounds quiet often :G At the beginning I liked it to by epic and anthemic and so on, but slowly this sound, which only my tracks have, starts annoying me. I guess first and biggest step in direction to sounding like a pro will be learning to use reverb well and than buy a good reverb.

But again we´re just discussing about non related things. Sorry again, OP, I´ll stop spamming now.
