The synth which starts @ 1:11 in "Alphaverb & Intractable One - Trauma"

I've heard in trance before and I just find it epic!

Anybody know how to make that kind of synth?

Cheers

Try a detuned saw-wave with a delayed LFO on the pitch for the floaty wobbly sound, combined with a delay and reverb for the epic-ness. This should get you pretty close.

Now look what you've done! Quite a catchy melody! Couldn't get it out of my head, so I needed to remake it. I fired up my Juno and this is the result. I only added some reverb for the epic-ness :listen:

Recipe:
1 square and 1 saw, both with pwm. I have the pwm quite low and the rate quite high. A tiny bit of chorus, and an envelope with a bit of decay and a release to tase. LFO on the pitch with a delay of somewhat 2 seconds. Bit of reverb and done...

Hope you like it.
