Remaking this sweep/saw/fx

Post by Neutronic »

All right, the sound in the back ground at around 0:46 just before the fast screechy things. Sounds like some kind of expanding saw and then a sweep. How would I recreate this? :) Bear in mind that I'm really inexperienced at creating these sort of midintro/intro synths.

Thanks!

make a screechy analog sound or get a screech sample, make a narrow boost in the mids, add a pitch env and add reverb

Making a screechy analog sound? Would that be for instance a detuned saw with an LFO on it?

no, it's not that simple..

an osc with certain waveforms (saw/square) controlled by another osc which controls the frequency of the signals (not just pitch) this as well as unison detune and lfo noise modulation

try the 'poly mod' in pro53, turn on "FREQ A" and "FILT", increase 'filter env' and 'osc B' knobs... now the signals of osc A are controlled by osc B

put a saw + square on both osc A and osc B, tweek the filter envelope to control the shape, add 10 unison voices, play with the mod wheel...

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

you can't really ask for help with something like that.. I just gave some tips to get close to the sound

you have to think outside the box, use granulization and time streching, blur etc. on a screechy sound to get it like that.. just try things..

Anyway im 90% sure that sound was a sample
