What do you think of my intro?

Hey fellas, i usually don't go around posting heaps and i have a low post count cause i produce more than i post .

But i read a thread about intros and i know i sometimes struggle on them too, so i decided to take a crack, here is the result. criticism is greeted with a 909 to the face haha nah i'd love to know how i could improve.



It might come across as a little loud for some, i had to switch to my headphones being 4ish in the morning, cant piss the neighbours off .

Extra points for anyone who can name where the vocals are from.

Your kick sounds great, but you haven't finished it yet! It's a good start, but you have a lot of work to do with it. Try to add some lowbass towards it (maybe a plain 909?) and try to layer it with an highpass filter and lowpass filter. It will increase the sound of it and make it more clear.

Your synth sounds a little bit dry, I think some reverb will be good on it! Maybe you could make the notes a little bit longer for a fuller sound?

the part where the kick fades in and out doesn't sound as good, but the kick is ok, it needs more effects though, but it's not finished yet, keep adding eq, maybe distortion and some bass boosting. The lead is good, it could be improved with a reverb though

Anywho I really like it. Arrangementwise it sounds cool. Try doing what The Uninvited says. Reverb on lead, bass on kick

Other than that this is really good
