Frequencerz type screech

Post by Fyziks »

First off, I am sorry if this is in the wrong thread or whatever. I tried looking for a "How to make a certain sounds type" Topic, but came up empty.

I've tried to recreate the Frequencerz screeches. They have a unique power and such behind on them. Very open and reverby. Is it just multiple layers and amazing reverbing or what? Anyone have any ideas or tips to give me?

Dist can give a really punch/powerfull sound to screeches, together with the right EQing. :)

Heavily detuned saws with some Pitch LFO and some tiny portamento.. then bounce it out, eq and Izotope trash. and then reverb & delay = TA DA

Yeah! That screech is what I'm looking for. Trying to get it nice and powerful like that. I'd love to see how you did it!

Edit : Due to a rather funny and surprisesing message, i would like to highlight that the kick shown in my audio clip above is that of "omegatypez The Calling"

the kick is awsome, props to the omegatypez.

So i got a few private messages and contacted in a few ways about the screech above, so like i said here is the preset, and i put together pictures of the effects i had on it.

firstly i use this forum alot, lots of people have helped me over my time here with my questions about producing, and as most people offten express there feelings towards "giving away presets blah blah learn it yourself" i do agree with them, its not ideal, you wont learn, but alot of people have helped me so i will give something back, even if it is just a simple screech. its all i can do,

i hope the people who have been asking will learn something from it, and as you will see, to create that screechy sound is easy, its all in the effects. mainly the dist and verb.
