@Shizzler your kick has a good low end but you need to split the bass, cut off 200 - 300hz, use a highpass cuttoff on another sample of the same bass at 300hz and use a lot more FX (distortion, eq etc..) on this layer, that way you've a lot more headroom..

just remember that layering is important!

@cor7ex: Nice kick, liking how it pitches. It's just abit too muddy and that makes it sound in the mix like it's behind the lead.

a Kick I started working on this evening... Too soft, noticed that when I tried to pitch it. Punch is also horrible but I think it's alright for ~2h of work, gonna continue working on it tomorrow...

@Harha, that punch is not good, so it needs to be changed, but otherwise it's pretty good :)
a hint is to make the bass and punch separately (that's what i do, i get better results by doing that :p).
@Aliner, i really like that B-front'ish kick, nice work.

been tweaking a bit but i kinda don't get any further, maybe any suggestions what to do with this kick?

@cor7ex wow very pro kick. how to you make a punch like that? :o
@Harha pitches nicely but the bass needs more fx
@soepa sounds cool, tbh i think it's finished so just go and make another kick :p

i pitched this kick in midi (piano roll) classic chorus can stop the bass from becoming too short when it pitches :P

@Aliner: sounds great, nice drive in it ;)
@soepa: doesn't sound bad, but imo it's not finished, I think it also lacks some bass (not sure about it, can't check it properly now :P)
@Harha: just what you said, needs more work and punch is funny :P but quite nice as a base sound ;)

kick I made using my older kicks, not finished yet but here it is:

Hey Guys,

Quick question, and I didnt want to open a new topic for that.
So, i've made this kick, witch i'm happy with, but there is a problem with the Note. It's like between G & G#.
There is a lot of software, to change the pitch, from one note to another one, but how can I do to adjust the pitch to the "right" note?

A friend of mine, who use Cubase, did it to show me. There is an analyzer on logic, that can adjust the final pitch, but I'm on FL.
Any other software that can do that? So basicly, an Analyzer, to see exactly the note, and a way to fix it?

Thx

The FL Studio plugin Newtone, just load your kick, slide your kick to G or G# note, save as wave. Simple. :)

I assume that's a FLS 10 feature?
