Exactly, you only Pitch the Tail so it fits with the Melody.
If you'd pitch the whole kick it would sound really "out of control".
Okay, umm......

How does everyone else pitch their kicks? Do they use seperate tracks for the punch & tail, or do they have some sort of special slicing method?
Check this: At least 3 techniques. I prefer the last one. ;)

Could we now keep it on topic? ... :P

Thanks! :D

BTW, what do you mean, "could we now keep it on topic"? I was made to believe this was the Kick Topic.

Taranta wrote:@Freakwave It sounds like the punch has some kind of fade-in attack. Try get it more slamming.
I had some strange space before my kick, therefore it could have sounded like a fade in. I removed this part.
Dastylerz wrote:Freakwave nice one but still need some more equing because when it gets low it sound weird in some range of frequencies also the punch could be a bit stronger =)
I removed a bit of the low freqs and added a new sub

So here is the result:

This is the topic where you present your kicks to get feedback/give Feedback.

Freakwave: I think it's a matter of opinion, but I'd like the TOK to be more prominent. I think it will sound much better, the tail is really good imo, although I'd like to hear it in a higher pitch as well.

Raw-B: I think it sounds good, but a little weak, try and tweak the EQ a bit.

Max-D: It sounds like the reverb is fading down the tail a bit on your kick, rather? Nice Chris One sound though :)

I posted my kick here a while ago, but got no feedback, so I'm posting again with pitching this time, and some Dubstyle. ;)

EDIT: Made some slight changes.

@Raw-B Try adding more crunch, it would be even better. :)
@Max-D Nice raw kick, but there's a weird wobbling in the low frequencies. ;)
@andzon Don't really like like the punch, but overall, the kick is not bad. :)

Reworked the previous kick, more dist and crunch. :3
