Which Samplerate?

Post by D3Vito »

Hey there.

Which samplerate should I use while producing / exporting?
I mean at the end you will export anything at 44khz/16bit anyway.

Is there an real advantage (except latency) when I use 48khz/24bit , 96khz/24bit or even 32bit?

The only advantages I think are probably just lower latency (with more CPU load) and maybe when you are using time-stretching (more detailed information).

Which Samplerate are you using and why?

some ppl say 96khz and more than 44khz sounds better some others say its the same i heard a lot about that
i always export my finished stuff as 96khz and 32bit
16bit export is for cds just saying......
Audio CD's are limited to 16 Bit, 44.1 kHz. (that's 44,100 samples per second, with each sample being 16 bits long). 24 Bit recordings are generally recorded at 48 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz. Although those are the usual sample rates for 24 bit files, 24 bit files could also be sampled at 44.1 kHz, 88.2 kHz, or 176.4 kHz.

so at the end choose the Samplerate u want and export as 320kbit/s highest possible quality..

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.
