Mixing Hardcore-into Hardstyle
Re: Mixing Hardcore-into Hardstyle
Make edits if you're using CDJs - or do it Kutski style and mess up a breakdown with effects and microloops, then just bring the hardcore track in.
If you can see an accurate BPM readout, then find a heavier hardstyle that has a nice buildup, and increase the bpm up to that of the hardcore track over the course of the buildup... then bring the hardcore track in when the new section begins. That's what I tend to do anyway, it makes it sound like the change in tempo belongs in the track.

just use older mainstream tracks or Industrial tracks to mix

Wh.. cheating? Naa, naa.. I won't believe in that. I mean.. naaa.

I always do the same... For this you need, as mentioned before, a hardcorish hardstyle track, e.g. Chris One - Psycho, and pitch it up to maybe 157 BPM maybe (slowly so that you barely can notice it) and mix slow hardcore in it, e.g. Re-Style - Get It Crackin (I know they don't fit together)Grape wrote:i see no problem in raising the bpm while playing hardstyle with hardcorish tracks from 158/160 bpm up to 170 and then easily go over to hardcore, i see no problem in this way
OR: Mix with Kings Of The Underground from G4H, the 2nd Climax is at 160 BPM, you easily can mix this into slow hardcore.
