yeah but you cant compare cassetes to vinyls imo, but there are enough people that will atleast keep the vinyl alive for sure and thats good ! i think with all the digital stuff things somehow lose a bit of personality
maybe a bit off topic but in 10 years every baby will have facebook and I-whatevers or something, this pisses me off

The audience can't tell the difference, and it is in fact easier. How many people in the crowd pick up vinyl from digital? .mp3 from .wav? And you can still make playlists for the night. Stop crying the lot of you.

One flaw to this though which I hope they fix is a lack of .wav/.aiff. Some stores don't offer it, nor hardcopy, so your forced to get this 192kbs shit. Silly silly silly, I'm better off illegally downloading it.

In conclusion, softcopy & vinyl > CD

That's because vinyl was better in the first place

Is this a gig full of deaf people?
You ever heard an mp3 played loud on a club level system? Definatly a difference.

No I haven't, but if you can notice when a DJ has switched from mp3 to wav while in the crowd good for you. You've got better ears than myself and most others. (I can't hear past 320 kbs)

Here's some link I found off google. It's one of many that say how shitty peoples hearing is
http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/ ... good-to-me
It's not like proper science, but you get the idea. Being able to hear the difference must come from being exposed to much high quality music (or not music, real life sound) when your young, which makes some part of your brain better just like being pitch perfect bleh, whole different discussion there

Tell that to my ears + my schools 10k+(AUD) mackie system*...Well I guess you just did... but I did hear a difference!
I guess it could have been all in my head since I was expecting it to be different. But then whats the point of lossless? All that data for nothing?

You can actually hear a difference between 192 and 320? Most people can't :P..

OT: Dj Inzane might've been the most retarded member of GHF (Yes, worse then Basscontrol and Lord Of Bass) but he had ears of gold it seems, he was able to hear a difference between 320 and WAV, at least twice, could've been luck though)
I'm grumpier than you.

Do people even read these?

Bah, just a little impressions for today, so people who are bored have something to read.
Today i rode to the local cd shop and yay, what i found out ! a Shelve full of brand new Nightwish album CDs. Didnt hesistate for a second, bought deluxe edition in digipak and oh my. Seriously, as much awesome as that new album is music-wise, the cover, booklet and inlay artwork of it has to be at least equally great. Pehrpas 20 pages of absolutely beautiful spooky amusement park themed images with lyrics, a poster with fron cover artwork and amazing digipack box artwork, all printed in top notch quality. Honestly, i would buy that even without music probably haha. I was staring for 5 minutes on every page and wing of that digipak after i bought it. This is just something digital music can never give me.

This is why I love getting physical discs rather than downloading...
