well he is a very good producer who knows what the people want
and who doesn't produce himself
And how did he become the role he is in now? Because he looks so good and is perfect for marketing?
I don't think that he doesn't produce himself
So ? Tiesto doesn't produce himself and he is a star.

I just think its a disgrace to EDM, the true fans know who the great artists are and dont need a popularity contest to prove it. Guetta can keep making his pop shit for the majority of mainstream lovers but i think we all know he really didnt deserve it. Even now all i see on his Facebook is abuse, except for the kids who hear him on the radio. Most people that voted Guetta wouldnt even know 90% of the DJ's in the Top 100, cos they wouldnt hear them on the radio or from their friends. Apart from #1 i think the list was fine though

epic _O_
Anyways i think it was obvious that he was going to win the moment when they decided to run the poll through Facebook app. I mean come on, guetta has 24 millions of fans who will vote for him the moment he asks for it, against Armin's 3 millions ?

DjVero wrote:You and your "bad name" shit, who fucking cares besides you... Dancefloors all around the world go mental when they hear his tracks, so be glad EDM is becoming global. Plus the fact his tracks are still electronic music and that he has a background in dance music, makes me wonder why there are thousands of EDM listeners (according to you) 'hate' him...
Who cares except me ? perhaps almost the whole EDM fanbase bitching like mad about poll results ? loads of top trance djs rolling their eyes on social networks ? that hall booing Guetta away ?
Yea it's just only me and all this my weird 'i care where music i listen to is heading' thing, right .

Guetta still IS considered to be part of electronic music, not just by me but he is widely considered to be a DJ which automathically connects him with dance music. His tracks are electronic ? Yay guess what, so is fucking hiphop and rnb. And if you really wonder why most of EDM scene hates him, you either has to be blind or retarded, see my first point : believe it or not there are people who don't want to see their music connected with MTV top10 charts.

And still there were lots of people to vote for him that he makes it to the number one spot. You don't have to listen to his music, you don't have to like him, but you can't deny he's the most popular artist.

And of course, those visitors don't cheer for him as most of them are (true) music lovers I guess and from that point of view I can understand why people dislike him and his music. But he's got an incredible amount of fans who would cheer for him and not without a reason...

I really don't see how popularity makes any artist good. It makes him popular, not quality.

I never said those two things have something in common, I'm not retarded, I do know this list has nothing to do with quality (except for a few DJs) ;)
