I didn't mean to complain about non-transforming stages :) I just really like those transform moments, 2012 also had a few, and I'd like to see it return.
But this year's stage was still interesting enough with some great effects.

For my very first Qlimax it was quite good but didn’t blow me away either...

Positive:
- Epic music.
- Fantastic sound, by far the best quality I’ve ever witnessed indoor.
- Sick lasers and pyrotechnics.
- Great DJ costumes and nice overall Qlimax atmosphere.
- The seats are really nice to take a break.
- Lots of people but didn’t feel to overcrowded. You could still move around and do some basic dancing.

Negative:
- The warmup Qreator (Tuneboy ?) should have played more classics and even early stuff.
- Qlimax really needs a surprise act in the future. Myst would have been cool af for this edition. And no... Qreator doesn’t count as surprise act.
- Stage was meh, it had great visual effects but the design wasn’t so good, it seemed small, boring and the painted walls behind almost went unnoticed.
EDIT: Biggest Problem was that the bottom part of the stage had the most emphasis, the whole top part was missing details imo. The whole event I stood behind or middle in the crowd, never in the very front, so I never noticed the bottom decorations. Q-Dance should definitely focus more on the top part of the stage !
- Rejecta was a letdown after the D-Sturb set. The raw quickly got repetitive (maybe one raw act less). I’d prefer have some more diversity instead.

Best festival experience remains Defqon1 & Mysteryland.

Im not sure what to say... looks like im the only person who disliked the music this year. Dont see any reason to put some random guy there to open, why not getting some guys like Deepack so we can hear something different in the beginning?

Sound Rush played their 2018 set with few new tracks, energy still great.
DBSTF felt like they were playing the same track for the last 15 minutes, Ran - D & Headhunterz nothing special at all, every build up and drop feels like the same for me. D-Sturb set pretty much what i expected and heard many times this year.. also too much Roughstate for me. Rejecta was ok. So many good tracks ruined by shitty kicks and drops

Liked Radical & Keltek, but thats all.
Stage was really meh.. our friend got their phone and money stolen (6)

"OK" edition, because it was too predictable, and FFS, stop smoking cigarettes and weed inside!

edit:

So many great acts, so many memories and u just put "Qreator" on the stage who plays TNT stuff. Wtf?`

my 4th qlimax and it was really awesome one. Met alot of new people, totaly random to which i spoke and and had fun with, which is one of the goals when going to concerts and festivals just to make it more fun and memorable. costumes were back which I was thrilled AF about. stage was ok, could be a little better designed, but i won't be a nitpicker. nothing will beat 2016 for me (talking about stages i've seen IRL). sets were really good, and my highlight was dbstf, b-front and heady. I really think soundwise, sound quality was the best yet. i was all the time in the front, like 5-10 m in front of the stage, and you could clearly hear full spectrum of frequencies compared to all editions before + HB. In all the other times i was in Gelredome, if I went infront all i could hear, or feel actualy was bass and sub which i hated.
all in all, really solid edition :)
The DJ spins a galaxy of black vinyl, for the gods that came to dance!

Keltek was okay (we entered the Dome around 11 o'clock)
Sound Rush were okay-ish, except the classic tracks, those were fucking nice. Next Dimensional World. _O_ _O_ Only pretty much own melody-stuff which all sounded the same but with a few alterations.
D-Block & S-Te-Fan were fucking awesome _O_
Headhunterz was 50/50. I don't know, but to me it sounds like his tracks lack energy or something. Some drops were fine though, especially those I will call it DBSTF - Brace Yourself mid-intros. So powerful. Funny to see we suddenly had a lot more space to dance when he came up, so far the title 'hardstyle leader' lol.
B-Front was boring, as expected. His stuff sounds so much the same  It drained my energy so much, but luckily there was...
Fucking Ran-D _O_ Best set of the night; hard and pounding, good variation of tracks. When I went to bed the next morning I still had his tracks buzzing in my head lol.
Rejecta was boring
Radical Redemption god-awful set. God, I fucking hate that kind of raw. Pure pure pure garbage, nothing more. Good moment to replenish though. I so hope this kind of sound will fuck off soon.
Miss K8, fucking hot chick, but that's pretty much all. I liked the first 20 minutes or so, but Uptempo is pure Radical Redemption-shit.

Music-wise maybe not the best, but our group and the whole atmosphere made up for that. Especially that sound system, holy shit. I don't think I've ever experienced a better sound system after all these years of going to events. How fucking good was that? _O_ So hard, so pounding, so clean. Big ups to Q-Dance for mastering it.

A good thing those last sets were nothing special, because my wife got too drunk and I had to watch after her a little bit. :naughty:

speaking about music sets
the qreator 6/10(good to hear some 2011 stuff but too much tnt overplayed and new music, not good for a qlimax opening)
keltek 8,5/10 (all great tracks, new stuff, fate or fortune, ti sento, some edits.. well balanced mix)
sound rush 8,5/10(besides it feels like almost a remake of 2018 set, they played also new music, put the right classics, 2008 anthem and like thiz :fist:, great show with people chanting, and good energy, i really enjoyed it, even if it is the cheesy side of hardstyle, it was energetic and well balanced also with some rawish by them  )
anthemshow 5/10 (the show was good, the moment NO, i can't find words to describe my opinion, just questioning why doing this, anyway was a kind of "surprising people" and thats ok,but comparing to 2008/2009/2011/2012.. meh, the zatox and dbstf anthemshow was the best imo)
headhunterz 9/10( the orange heart show was an highlight of the night, a girl behind me was crying, anyway lot of tracks edits energetic stuff and emotional stuff, he know what to do) _O_
DBSTF 9/10 (nothing to add, all you need in a set, dbstf will bring to you.)
bfront 7/10 (of course was a great set, i know it's not his fault but Q decision, but he had not much new stuff to fit 1 hour as i expected, and he didn't play NOTHING about bfrontliner. but anyway i enjoyed the good tracks he played)
rand 9/10 i like more rand's set nowadays than in the past, great tracks and energy, nice to see the reggae guys singing and dancing.
d sturb 7,5/10 (i heard half set, it was dope but sometimes repetitive imo, but thats the raw problem.)
rejecta 7/10 ( i didnt feel like i expected, maybe because tracks were cut off quickly, i don't know, but still good music)
radical redemption 8,5/10 (he killed it,amazing impact, sometimes too much breaks but overhall crazy)
miss k8 9/10 (i expected less, but she did an awesome set, not much breaks but all straight like it has to be, not bad for an image artist, great job to keep hardcore alive)

phuture noize and endymion surprise good but it's annoying to see this kind of comparison only to promote a track, it's a festival,we dont want business stuff.
happy about those singer joining, always good to integrate it during the set, i told multiple times about these elements that were missing from 2013 till 2017, they listen to the crowd vision finally.

I watched the livestream and it was very nice qualitywise.

I‘m a Fan of dbstf, hhz and d-sturb. I also enjoyed the set by B-Front, for my Taste it was finally more variable.

The Ran-D set was boring, he is a good producer and the Kicks Sound fat but it‘s just top Boring when you compare this to other rawstyle Acts like D-Sturb, e-force, delete, Rejecta.

Good Job Q-dance, was nice to listen. Next year I will be back again in the Dome.

Holy guacamole, jesus christ. That was freaking awesome. The sound system was just intense, big up to Q for pulling that off. I know they probably drowned lots and lots of money in this over the years now and after the sound limitations I was sure we‘d have to live with worse sound. But wow, the pressure and clarity this year was unrivaled at that loudness. I had to leave shortly before Miss K8 and it was almost completely quiet outside. How the fuck do you pull that off. Heads off to those sound engineers!

I liked the stage and the backlit canvas, played very well with the shadows theme. Also it wasn‘t really „not-moving“ just not as transforming as other years.. bit you only have so many options of doing that, I‘d rather them not wasting them all in a couple years. The transparent screen was really cool combined with the second behind it. The intro with the woman performing between them with the hands in front of her, that was pretty awesome!

Musically it had its ups and downs, but the sets were all executed extremely well and it came down to personal taste for me. The concept of the Qreator was odd, I‘d rather seen Zany.. I know it‘s probably a figure for Dediqated but for now the spot seems to have been wasted.. it was a mixture of refreshingly old tracks and fucking overplayed openers. I mean, lots of people actually sighed together with me when The Realm came on. Keltek was 10/10 for me, crazy energy! Sound Rush was technically great, I don‘t really care for them though - went for a drink and watched from the deck. Could‘t resist a few moves with those new kicks and a few classics though. DBSTF, D-Sturb, B-Front where godlike!! Ran-D was moving the crowd real good as well, took a break there though. Headhunterz is putting out extremely high quality tracks and the set was quality, I just don‘t like break-dominated sets so it felt a little dull to me at times.

Rejecta felt like he should have played before D-Sturb as a transition, he was actually going softer then D-Sturb? Radical was extreme, quite bizarre actually. Comes down to preference of course - but that was cringy to me.

All in all it was fucking beautiful!

Stage was great, loved the design and all the little details, I don't understand people complaining about the no-transformation stage, like if it has always been a rule for Qlimax stage (we only had 2 transformation stage in 9 years, 2013 and 2018). People act like spoiled children and can't even enjoy the amazing production Q-Dance delivers anymore.

ehm 2016 =? Hello ? xD Best Qlimax ever in my opinion .

Not a real transformation stage for me, we "just" had the wings moving.

But I agree it was the best Qlimax stage with 2014 :p
