I didn't make the tutorial but I thought it might be useful. You'll be using a free VST plugin called MadShifta you can download it from the link below.

If you want it to sound really good, start out with an already dark voice, otherwise will it sound quite wierd :)
I'm grumpier than you.

Gotta try that out, seems pretty clean... better than just pitchshifting

I have troubles to install this vst into my mac. I'am using Ableton.
When i put this in my vst map, it doesn't appear in Ableton plugin section.
Any help is welcome. Thanks!

A nice, dark vocal effect:

1. Take a deep vocal sample, if not dark enough, you can pitch it to make it dark.
2. Distort.
3. Put on some delay, set delay time to extremely fast, close to maximum, but not maximum.
4. Reverb! :D

Make a deep dark sound with preferably some FM synth and mix that together with a vocal of your choice using Fruity Vocodex and tweak it from there. I've never used Vocodex for vocal stuff myself but I could imagine that you'd get some pretty neat results with it.
