Ishkur's Music Guide

Post by Reverse Ghost »

The madman finally released it.
Really wish he found out about the ridiculous subgenres in Hardstyle, I was looking forward to his take on Rawstyle

The Hard Trance section made me cringe viscerally, however. So many inaccuracies  still hilarious.

Wow, I saw his tweet about a 15-hour mix yesterday but still somehow didn't even think he's going to release the new guide now. This day starts fucking awesome already :fist:

ah i remember the old old flash website that was around since early 00s. Was biased and factually inaccurate as shit and more reflecting the guy's personal taste than providing correct information, but still helped me and the entire early 00s internet generation learn a lot about electronic music. Feels quite nostalgic. I'd loooooove to explore this but holy crap thats one bad website, i dont know if im doing something wrong but its lagging and buggy as hell :(

Use a modern browser (not IE) on a desktop or laptop, the site works like hell on mobile browsers. That being said it is a bit buggy on a desktop browser too, but not severely so.

Using a mouse? The scroll wheel acts as a zoom and clicking & dragging on a touchpad is torture! I recommend an epic gamer mouse from the Razor Company.

Using a laptop with Chrome and a very cheap mouse here. The only problem I experience is clicking on one of the small panels doesn't load the songs for a particular year sometimes :/

The panels that look much darker than the rest don't have any music to click for, presumably because he didn't feel like scouring for tracks from a year that don't sound much different from the year before/after.

Also in the search, type "Deadmau5" then search for his real name

No, I actually meant the lighter panels when there's no response (not even a spinner at the bottom of the page to indicate something is loading) clicking on them for a looong time :P Rrefreshing the page solves the problem but not all the time...

Ah, might just be server lag? I imagine a decent amount of traffic incoming due to the following he has, hopefully it dies down soon.
