Okey so here the 2 newest kicks I´ve made.

The first has kinda that Frontliner-Sound when pitching up, used Junglist for it, Distorted with Ohmicide an Camelphat :

The second sounds a lil bit like some of the Noisecontrollers-kicks ( like in the KYHU Remix ), used Sytrus for it and again, distortion was Camelphat and Ohmicide :

Very nice kicks. I got a question. Why do you use both Ohmicide and Camelphat for distortion. I ask because I only got Camelphat. So I would like to ask what is it Ohmicide does that Camelphat isn't capable of. ?

Which filters do you use for your subbass. ?

Thank you in advance. :)

Sylenth1.. You can make kicks with any program that allows heavy pitchdrops :P

Moved it to Track Review ... will probably be moved when the producers section is more advanced. This is for now the best solution.

The Distortion-Unit in Camelphat ( Mech-Distortion ) has a nice own sound, hard to describe. Im also always using the bandpass filter on it.

With Ohmicide you can choose 4 different distorions ( the original presetbank has nearly 30-40 different distortions ) on different frequencies. So you can for example distort the low frequencies with a more vibrating distortion and the mids and highs with an other distortion. You have a lot more control on the distortion you dont have in Camelphat.

So simply said : Camelphat for the basic distortion cause of its sound, Ohmicide for more controlled distortion in differen EQ-bands like highs/lows.

For the subbas im using nearly no filters, only Equalizers and Bass-boosters. Im creating my subasses in a way, that you cant hear them ( they have no special sound ) but you can "feel" the low frequencies, the sound of the kick creates the other distorted kick-layer.

Ohh okey.. this cleared some things up. I guess Ohmicide might be worth spending some money on.. Thank you for this great detailed reply. :)

Edit:
Btw TakkU. Not bad at all. maybe you should add some more percussion to your kick... I like your lead aswell. :)
