why do you even ask if you are not willing to understand, it's mainly right what he said.

Studio Monitors shouldn't have a "nice deep sound" at all (thats Hifi-Speakers like the logitec ones), they have to repoduce the sound as linear (natural) as possible, keep that in mind.

a good soundsystem is indeed the bascis.
Because you can have any synth you want, you can make any lead you want, with any vst/hardware you want, if you don't hear it well, it's useless.

I heard a lot of good feedback about these monitor, as little monitor for homestudio, to begin with :)

A decent PC, monitors and a soundcard. If you have spare cash then by all means treat yourself to a midi keyboard as they are fun to play and its nice to come up with melodies on them.

You don't need a hardware synth. Give it a few years until you are seriously into it, because it's not essential at all.

Get rid of the Scullcandy and save up for money for more linear headphones :). Will do you a favour in the long term :)
I'm grumpier than you.

I'm also trying to get a really basic setup together, my computer doesn't really handle the DAW properly when there's a lot of plugins active but I can live with that. I'm more wondering about soundcards, are they really that important, and if so what do they actually do? Looking to get RP6 G2 monitors also
