idk how you guys feel about my kick i know theres vocals before it i hope it is reviewable i'm new to the whole hardstyle thing critiques would be nice
Ok guys, I'm really confused here and need a little help. I always thought the kick was the first part of the overall sound, I thought it was the simple hit before the BRRR sound of the bass. But now I assume because of this topic that it is the overall sound. Anyways.
Could someone help me with these points:
- I know intros have different kinds of kicks to the melodies. They have a shorter sounding one that doesn't change pitch. Could I get a rough explanation on how to make an intro kick.
- The pitched kick in the melody, this is longer and has a more BRRR sound to it. To make this do i make the simple kick sound I was talking about at the start, then make another BRRR sound(sorry only way i can explain it
)and play them together, whilst only pitching the BRRR sound.
- Lastly, is a punch the thing I have been thinking of as the simple kick. If not what is a punch?
Now, I'm SO sorry for those retarded explanations(BRR), but I hope you get the general idea. I'd really appreciate some help.
Thanks A LOT in advance.

I have an old 5.1 sound sytem. Its old but it still works very well. It is on default settings except the treble is turned up.Kawaro wrote:He's right, there is no bass in there.hardmusic wrote:You gotta check your sound system if you think it needs more sub bass. Its on max lol
When i compare my sound clip with other real songs, my sound clip has more sub bass then the other real songs.
And you say it need more sub bass when almost the only thing i hear is an ear numbing bass.
My subwoofer is giving me a massage when i play the clip.

@ zerot
Sounds good. I dont know if it is a nu kick or reveresd bass kick. If it is a nu kick: make the tail a little longer.
If it is a rev bass kick: Make the rev bass louder

Keep on EQ'ing and work hard and you will have a very very nice sounding kick!
