Sound design, fx and screeches

Sound design and production in general

Yooo harderstate (L)

I'm coming to a point where I make pretty decent kicks, leads and melodies. But i'm kinda stuck on the sound design part.

Could you guys give me a few tips or links to creating more complex sounds.
I often don't get furder than some distorted saw lead.

Links to tutorials from which you have learned.
Obviously i'm not asking for a .flp. Just some tips/hints :)

Some examples:

0:48

FFFUUU now i'm trying to find good examples and I can't remember a good one when I need it, this always happens :P Hahaa, but you get the idea :)

Thanks in advance.

I can't be the only one wondering about this :)

Stack some osc's play around with filters and distortion and modulation on those.

Gave the first one a try. It's not that i'm looking for that sound.
But more to create better sound design in general. I've been experimenting a lot lately.

But I need some direction, I don't know how the sounds are created so I can't really practise it.

with toxic biohazard - put on mix 100% on three of them to activate three ocilators, then choose what kind of wave do you want (saw,square,sine..etc) then put on unison detune between 33 - 35 and on unison pan 100%
and put 5 unison voices, then on mode put it on LP and put the cutoff on 100, then activate delay and choose reverb so it sounds more deep. play with the sounds and stuff there you get a nice lead.

How I normally make my screeches:

+1 octave
Fine tune all up to +1

+1 octave
fine tune all down to -1

-1 octave

Mod Env on all Pitch OSC.

Play something with the settings and waveforms, add some FX and you've got yourself one nice sounding screech :)
