Brice:Takku: Not bad actually, and the melo is nice too. The punch sounds correct but your rev. bass (if it's what you wanted) sounds too much distorded.

http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/53273187/file.html -> this is my new kick.
I worked in an other way this time, and I'm happy with the result :)

Thnx, i'll try lowering the distortion ;)

Hello everyone,

I have worked on this kick quite some time now. What do you think about it ?
http://www.dca-online.dk/kick1987.mp3
I used 3xOsc with camel phat, iZotope Ozone, blood overdrive, KarmaFX Reverb, Soundgoodizer and ofc eq and compressor.

Thank you in advance. :)

Doesn't sound bad, but it misses a lot of power and drive. Your punch is also too short...

But keep practicing, and you'll get what you want :)

Thank you for your feedback. I will keep that in mind. To give the kick more power and drive, should i add some more distortion to the subbass or what would you suggest ?

I happen to love the original, so it's hard to impress me using that melody :p

The punch is not good enough, sounds too cheap.
The bass is nice, would need some more drive + a nice piece of reverse bass! :D

Quite nice! Good drive in the bass.
Try to make a harder punch, with more power. It will of course make the whole kick sound more awesome!
