Q-Dance Top 100 Hardstyle 2020

Postby The Convicted » 01 Jan 2021, 11:54

Complete Top 100 is available here - Q should improve the readability of the list :+
https://www.q-dance.com/en/news/check-o ... 00-of-2020

I'm a bit surprised that at least Mindcontroller didn't make it out of the tracks I voted for...

kinda expected tracklist as big names really did a lot of promotion to vote for them this time which makes smaller artists less likely to appear here. While scene has never been so big looking at number of releases and different kinds of Hardstyle being produced - top100 has also never included so little diversity, surprises or different artsts imo. Headhunterz, Wildstylez and DBSTF still dominate the scene after all those years it feels weird not to see Noisecontrollers as well but it's obvious as he hasn't produced much in the past 2 years

No TNT, Zatox, Frontliner, Audiotricz, Devin Wild, Sub Sonik, Digital Punk does surprise me tho

Whilst the top 10 is relatively accurate (which is always good), it's safe, it's boring, has little variety and it's clear raw fans didn't vote this year hehe

^ We don't really know how many votes each tracks got because Q never publish it. But even if they do, how can we be sure about the correct numbers?

Q-dance top100 has become the equivalent of DJ Mag top 100
This years list is just another sign of an unhealthy scene if you ask me.

Because raw fans couldn't go to festivals to show off their upper bodies, eat their jaws off and/or fistfight to yet another screech, fuck-off-imma-cut-out-your-lungs-vocal and pingpong kick this year. Now that they were completely sober they suddenly realized how retarded and cringe the raw scene is.

Raw is festival music while melodic Hardstyle is easier to listen at home.

Grape:just clap a few times between the tracks, and you will have the "pro extended mix" :+

Just listening to the top 10 now. first hardstyle set i've ever heard that is not mixed. but this is so true, probably need to go back to 2011/2012 to hear an intro that I properly liked and enjoyed listening to.

I don't even want to comment. I'm so annoyed. At least I know harderstate has people that appreciate good hardstyle.

Most of these guys didn't really push any campaign about the top 100 voting on their socials as I see which might explain one reason for their absence I guess? But then I'd surprised if fans following them don't even know the voting anyway from other sources...

Ye. Maybe 100 isn't enough anymore. There are more tracks, more artists, more people who want to see their favorite tracks/artists, but then only the same 100 places. And then it's Q-Dance Top 100, so obviously it's not about showcasing the whole scene. There were so many tracks missing in the poll. It's the same with MOH Top 100. Same with other top events.

But then top events manage to drop funny emotions every time. People in the chat going wild, raging over results etc... If pros were to drop some funny hardstyle/hardcore/hdm awards show, similar to game awards for example, it would probably not be about representing/showcasing the whole scene too. But sure it could be funny.
