BPM

Post by dj_vertigo »

I don't know if there's already been a topic on this I had a look back a little ways but couldn't find any recent ones

I'm just wondering what bpm you other DJs mix at? Hardstyle obviously...........
When your playing out do you blend into the guys (generic term could mean guys or girls.... I don't wonna upset anyone) set before you if its a different genre? Do you stop there last track then start?

Just trying to keep the conversations flowing haven't seen much going on in here

150 bpm, but if it gets darker at the end i usually play at 153-155
and no, i don't really blend in with the set before me, i just pick a nice track for a start and the cut the previous dj's track (not in the middle of the song ofc), for now i mostly use Hardwell - Spaceman (Headhunterz Remix) as an intro, then my mix goes through various stages, usually starting with more commercial stuff, then it gets darker and darker (e.g. Frequencerz - Bitch), and i ususally finish the whole thing off with either Hardstyle Mafia - Can't Get You Back or Delete - Syndrome... and yeah, most of the time i play at 150... i don't really like to speed up the tracks with no good reason, yeah, sure if i play some track, that has original speed at like 152-155, i go on at that speed, otherwise, it's just 150...

normally I´m playing at 153 BPM but recently I started playing older tracks at the beginning of my sets and for that reason I´m starting with a slower speed like 148 for example but if i do that the max bpm for that set are 150 ;)

I usually start my sets at 152 bpm, speed it up to 155/156 in the middle and have the last track at 160 bpm (last track is always something crazy like No Time To Sleep) :D

Usually start off at 152 and end around 156, depending on the type of tracks I play :P

Depends. I make freestyle mixes (mostly hardstyle and hardcore, + some jumpstyle, electro house and schranz) so it depends. I usually start at 150, then after 3-4 tracks I move to little harder and more raw/crazier tracks, BPM is about 156-160 then, after that some hardcore and the same thing. (from 170, after midpart I move to 178-185, and then few 190's) So from 130-190 for me.
