Waldorf Blofeld is it worth buying?

All about Software and Hardware (Shared HS/HC)

Hi, I was thinking about getting the Blofeld as my first hardware synth. I don't have that much money to spend and would take forever for me to save up to a Virus, so I was thinking about the Blofeld and I have some questions about it.

Is it a buggy synth? (Something I heard)
Is it good for making screeches etc? Does anybody have any sounds I can listen to?
Is it hard to program?

That is mainly what I need to know, really how good it sounds so if any of you guys have any demo sounds I can listen to I would be very happy!

Check the VSTi called Largo. It's the same module.

Honestly Serum is a great VST too, you can make a giant range of sounds in it.

Here are some videos to show you what I mean... (@5:18 in the last one you can ever hear a screech that sounds almost identical to a screech used by Zatox in his tracks made with the Waldorf Biofeld)

With the right eqing you can really bring out the brighness in the mid/low ends which is normally the problem for most software synths, they give off that "digital" sound.
