The sliders are a bit out of sync and super sensitive.

Nice! Much better :D

Maybe in the future you could add some features like being able to see the drive dB or low- and highpass frequency.

Cool, your next challenge is a windows compatible replika of Logic Phase Distortion.. that's what I would really want

Cool, what did you use to create this?

I'm currently writing VST 2.x plugins using C++ just for learning purposes and because it's fun. Using the JUCE framework so that I do not have to worry too much about platform independency / gui components / vst standard api. So the things I make compile and link natively to VST 2.x or VST 3.x compatible plugins for Windows and to AU for macOS.

So far I've implemented simple symmetric and asymmetric quadratic and hyperbolic distortion algorithms, soon I'll dive into filters and stuff like that.

iCore 2 Duo @ 3.4Ghz | 4Gb 800Mhz DDR2 RAM | M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 | Windows 7 x64 & Mac OSX 10.6.8 Dualboot | KRK Rokit RP5 G2 | Access Virus TI Desktop | Access Virus C Desktop | Korg K49 MIDI Keyboard

I think there are two things which you can improve on with this plugin - amount and symmetry control

this is a simple test done comparing logic clip distortion and d-stortion on a 909 kick

positive symmetry drive with d-stortion:
Image
distortion amount: 100%
symmetry: -100

the slope of the waveform isn't that linear and the sound is kinda nasty as a result (the dynamics are okay but it's not dynamics which I'm talking about here - It's sound), it's workable, but not as smooth sounding in the case of logic clip distortion

positive symmetry drive with logic clip distortion:
Image
distortion amount: 100%
symmetry: -100

the slope of the waveform is a lot more linear here and the sound is much smoother, I think it could be because the symmetry is controlled pre-drive instead of post. The reason why I think this is because when you lower the dist amount in logic clip distortion, the symmetry changes the sound entirely.
In your plugin, it sounds like symmetry is changed after the sound is driven with the distortion.
Would be great if you could change this.

if you make a new update, remove Team AiR tag, and make a new professional skin with more standard colors and without people in it lol, then it would be a nice contender to bad bus mojo
