Try using Smart Disable on your plugins so they don't use CPU when you're not running audio through them.

You could also bounce the bus that's using a lot of CPU, and run the sample through the next bus in the chain instead.

Combine the two if you're really having CPU usage problems.

Patcher with my preset only uses ~2-3% of my CPU, so it hasn't been a problem for me.

I produce all my Stuff on my PC using Cubase 7.5, around 2 weeks ago i bought myself a Macbook pro ( for work and study ) and ofcourse i installed Logic ... ( bought it ofcourse *cough* ) so i have the chance to compare both Venom and Clip Dist, and i have to say that the Clip dist gives better results
- it adds better warmth to the sound
- you didnt f*ck the sound up too hard ( ofcourse if you just over saturate everything in the blinky red nothing will sound good ! )
- and jeah the symetry works way better in Clip Dist
as someone mentioned a couple of posts ago you have to see both plugins seperate Venom is a very very good sound manipulating / shaping Vst but dont try to compare it to Clip Dist.

aside from biased opinions that may arise about logic clip distortion and going slightly offtopic, this thing is definitely a good replacement for Buzz effect "white noise stereo dist" because it works the same way but its much cleaner

Does this only work with FL11? I don't want to lose my pattern blocks :(

As long as your version of FL Studio has Patcher, it should (hopefully) work.
