I see you don't use fx on all the channels , do you export everything first without fx and reverb/delay?

I always get the volume of the sounds down first on the step sequencer before adding them into the mixer board. I also sound design to make the sounds very personal and in terms of notes a lot of my stuff are in different octaves which help with a clean mix too. You're hitting newer frequencies and allows for the sound to become bigger. Like say you do this to a vocal. Make a duplicate and put the pitch down half an octave down and another one going half and octave higher. Together with the regular pitched vocal they create a huge vocal if you tweak the volume of the low and high duplicates. Same method applies to everything else.
