Pop-EDM Crossovers

All other music besides Hardstyle & Hardcore

Postby Emre » 21 Jul 2015, 15:19

I'm currently in love with this song:

Which is pop and has future/deep/-whatever you call it- house influences & drops.

I want to find more tracks in which a pop artists sings and has edm drops/influences all in 1 track. :)

Any tips?

Not for me. Pure pop is just sang vocals for me, this track is heavily future-house influenced and there are many other pop mixed with edm tracks. Believe me, before EDM was a hype, pop was way different than now. Now it has way more electronic influence, and those are the tracks I'm searching for :)

jeez, I worked at a radiostation, and used to make playlists of several AC (Adult Contemporary format, basically, all the pop-music you can get) radiostations. so yeah, I know what pop music used to be in the 80s, 90s and 00s ;) anyhow, imo pop-EDM crossover is a natural process. pop is... well... popular music (duh), and the producers actually follow the trends (and set said trends too). so because EDM is on the rise now in the US, and most of the best-known pop-artists come from the US as well, their producers simply try to appeal to the EDM-loving crowd. they simply try to make their artists relevant. just my two cents.

ps. came here for the lame joke, stayed for the lecture :+

This is the only song I can think of that has that EDM to Pop crossover. Pretty big here in the US.
