Full-on psychedelic trance

Trance is one of the most widely recognised EDM family genres ever.
Belonging to that "family", we have psychedelic trance (aka psytrance).

Although underground, it has massive open-air raves and a nice scenes in countries such as Israel, India (since psy came from Goa trance), Brazil and even here in Portugal (we have tons of great artists such as Alienn, A-Mush and Tryambaka).
Reynolds, Simon (2012). Energy Flash: A Journey Through Rave Music and Dance Culture. Soft Skull Press. wrote:Psytrance lies at the hardcore, underground end of the diverse trance spectrum.
But even so, psychedelic trance is itself a very diverse genre. It can range from as slow as 130 BPM (progressive psy) to an astonishing 180 and above (psycore). This thread is dedicated to what I consider the second most popular sub-genre (after progressive), and also my favourite one: the full-on vertent.

And heck, even that sub-genre is diverse! There's full-on night, full-on morning, full-on groove and full-on high-tech. But we don't need to go that far on describing those sub-sub-genres, this thread is for everything full-on!

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Here's some tracks I really enjoy. :whoop:

Poizon - Arsenic
I downloaded VA - Another Dimension - Selected by D.N.I and this my favourite track from it. A dark but energetic track that is pure magic from 2:11 until the end! Definitely full-on night.
Spoiler
Vibe Tribe - Melodrama
Less dark but highly energetic, I think it's full-on morning, Also, one of the first psy trance tracks I ever listened.
Spoiler
Alienn vs. Stereopanic vs. A-Mush - Triple Vision
Another full-on night gem! A collab between 2 Portuguese artists (Alienn and A-Mush) and one Mexican artist (Stereopanic).
Spoiler
Dapanji - Super Moskitos
A perfect example of full-on high-tech.
Spoiler
Ejekt - A2D2 (Logica Remix)
A track that stands up from the rest since it's full-on groove.

The fact that you didnt mention Neelix makes me sad. :)

Neelix is progressive, not Full-On. Progressive Psytrance is the most popular subgenre nowadays and I am also heavily into it, but I think harderstate is not the best place for this :-)

I dislike progressive, it's just too slow and doesn't fit in with my perspective of ºpsychedelic", hence making this a full-on and not progressive psy topic-
And this section of the forum is to be used... I didn't expect people here to like big room house and look how the thread I made is going. So why not have hope I'll find fellow full-on fans?

Don't get me wrong, I fully understand where you're coming from. I also like full-on, just stated that today there's more new progressive stuff and really awesome stuff, I might add. If you have some more good, new full-on, please show me. I am a huge fan of Astral Projection and thought that "The Prophecy" still is one of the better full-on tracks (they're doing progressive now though), but it's 8 years old now.

Also, there is lots of progressive psytrance that is highly psychedelic, e.g. some recent output from LOUD (Ace Ventura & FF - The Encounter remix, their Pipeworm remix on TIP etc.) and lots more. But yeah, the Spintwist sound (Neelix etc.) has none of that.

Also a shame this Space Buddha track was never released:

I never actually pay attention to when the full-on tracks I listen are released, if they're good, it doesn't matter for me if they're recent or old.
But if you'd like to go by dates, the full-on section @ Ektoplazm is the place to go.

Ah yeah. Sounds morning-ish but more Goa than actual psy.

My perspective of psychedelic is different. The progressive I've listened to so far is "slow" (below 145 BPM is slow for me xD), and some are way too euphoric and commercial sounding for me to like. But it's all a matter of tastes, in the end. :)

Here's a nice track with an odd intro :P

@ChristianHardstyle: sick full-on mix with wicked FX! Reminds me of the MilkDrop 2 visualizations via my foobar200. _O_

As for the track at 5:05, everyone on the comments is asking for it, but unfortunately there's no answer and I also don't know. It does sound nice. :\ One day we'll know.
