epic albums to suggest to

All other music besides Hardstyle & Hardcore

Hey guys,
I'm looking for outstanding albums. It doesnt matter which electronic music genre, it should really be a album that's really perfect for you, or one of a kind. I also prefer more underground genres but if it is a really deep, well-thought and diverse album, it can be anything. TOA's The Dogs Are Listening is such an example. "Darkened" by ZES comes to my mind. But really anything as I would love to explore more music. I have always thought about buying an epic Trance Album/compilation (like probably from Paul Van Dyk, ATB from the 2000s, maybe even something towards the direction from Megara vs. DJ Lee, anything)
But also D&B, Industrial, Techno, rhythmic stuff or something like Flume.

Go ahead :)

Gareth Emery - Northern Lights, Svenson & Gielen - The Beauty Of Silence (best oldskool trance album EVER), Kai Tracid - Trance & Acid (okay maybe this one is the best oldskool trance album ever, now im confused lol), Tiesto - In My Memory, Ferry Tayle - Carnet De Vol, Armin van Buuren - 76// Shivers, Paul van Dyk - Reflections, Marcus Schossow - Outside the Box for trance.

Sub Focus - Sub Focus, High Contrast - Tough Guys Dont Dance // Agony & Ecstasy, Goldie - Timeless, Chase & Status - More Than A Lot for dnb

Sander Kleinenberg - 4 Seasons, Hernan Cattaneo - Sequential 1 & 2, Parov Stelar - Daylight // Coco, Disclosure - Settle for house

Mortiis - The Smell of Rain for a perfect fusion of Depeche Mode / Apoptygma Berzerk kind of rock - electronic fusion stuff if you are openminded, truly one of my fav albums of all time :)

Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy
One of the best Psy. Trance albums ever made.

Dance With the Dead - The Shape
Their latest album, but it's the one that suits my tastes in retrowave the best. Might be too "80s" to your tastes, but I'd definitely recommend people to check them and the genre (and/or sub-genres) out. Doubly so if you're already into electronic music.

And lastly: Starving Insect - The Great Nothing
You may know of it, but on the off chance that you don't, you need this in your life. Fantastic doomcore album with heaps and heaps of atmosphere and dread, combined with some really heavy and dark kicks. Amazing stuff.

If I have to choose one old school trance album and a "modern" one, that would be the Chicane Best of (1996-2009) and Orjan Nilsen - In my Opinion.
Chicane because it's the epicness from the glory days of Trance and the best album from Orjan, all perfect tracks, great progression between them, so atmospheric yet so atypical
(I could have choose Northern Lights aswell, one of my favourites :p )

Some others you could check:
Subheim - No Land called Home / Foray
Amazing pieces of Ambient both, Subheim is a genius
Trentemöller - Into the Great Wide Yonder / Miss You
Still the best minimal albums, my love for techno started here

Portishead - Dummy
Massive Attack - Mezazzine
Tricky - Maxinquaye

Not sure if you dig some 90's downtempo/trip-hop stuff, but it's electronic as well :)
