Cathexis256:@dhamiri It sounds okay to me, perhaps adding more layers to it would give it more fullness if you know what I mean
@Soundphase Nice bright, and has a good character to it. I think its great!
@Aztro Would like to hear it without the rhythm synths in the background but as it is, its sounds good :)

Here is mine, I'm new to making synths so I'm stuck on what to do next for this. Its made of 5 layers of Sytrus, Nexus, and Z3ta, gave it lots of saturation, eq, and minor distortion but I feel its still lacking. What can I do to make this better? :?

I think that if you put another synth on top you will ruin the whole thing, leave it be it's nice that way, I like it :)

Here's mine ("IT'S NOT YOUR MELODY BRO" WELL NO SHIT SHERLOCK) I actually intend to put this lead(s) here because I wanted to give it away but can't find where I should put it? Maybe I just didn't look enough xD ?
If someone could tell where do I post the flp please tell me :3

It does but I am sure you can expand this further and make it better. It's nice to push 'beginners' in the right direction

@dhamiri_blurrboy: Sounds good to me.
Just a bit more EQ'ing and maybe add a light Saw under the lead.

@SQMDQ: Not bad at all.
Needs way more EQ'ing and a better reverb.
Keep it up ;)

Long time no post from me^^
Just tried a lead after a long time of no producing.
(Midi is selfmade :p ^^)
Stay mad^^

I like the melody, altho the synths could use some EQ work. :)

Just did a quick ''recreation'' of the Atmozfears - Release lead whilist waiting for my pizza in the oven ;p

That's not how feedback works. Give proper feedback or don't use these topics.

And that goes for the rest of you. Everyone deserves and needs proper feedback.
I'm grumpier than you.

Do people even read these?

@ dhamiri_blurrboy, the lead sounds a bit thin. Try adding reverb.
@ SQMDQ, it sounds really good :) Nothing else to add.
@ Daisuke, the lead that comes in at 0:13 is good, but the other one sounds a bit annoying in the background. It sounds too robotic in my opinion.
@ Zaitek, better than the original! The low notes in the background should be one octave higher though.
I made a bunch of leads recently that I'd like to share:

@Daisuke that sounds totally pro, nothing to change!
@typhonmusic that reverb is horrible and there's some EQing needed!

I don't like it when the treble sounds like it needs a set of diapers, so I put diapers on it

@leeroy: can´t hear anything that needs correcting now, keep it up :)

@typhonmusic: you have a lot of work to do, first of all don´t detune your lead too much otherwise it sounds metallic. to get a fat lead, if you use sylenth detune in the range of a little bit less than 50% to 75% and don´t use the exact amount of detune on more oscillators otherwise it becomes thin. Also look to not esagerate withg octaves, in your first lead there seems to be an oscillator that is set too high, The second lead sounds much better than the first but still blurry, don´t exagerate with reverb, lowcut it and use about 3 to 4 sec decay.

Tried to remake the Angerfist - Inciming lead:

Here is the original, at 3:21 you can hear it best..did I come close?

@leeroy: Your lead needs more EQ'ing (cut some deep freqs and get some highs) and work on the reverb.

@Dj Reaper: Mostly the same as leeroy.
More highs in the EQ'ing and I think there is a bit to much reverb.
But it's pretty close =)

Tried to make a hardcore lead, too^^
