Pithune:brainkicker, the machine, d'stylerz uses FL

But they aren't really famous or even well known for that matter. It's a different discussion entirely, but the top producers have either used Logic/Cubase their entire carreer or started using it when things started to get more serious.

None of them do ;)

Like i said before, non of the real top artists use FL just because it lacks hardware support.

It's lacking more then only hardware support.

d'Stylerz went to cubase some weeks ago.

@ Loophole
All the DAW's got ups and downs. I really like the fast work flow of FL so I mostly use FL. I need to get quick my ideas into a DAW. Cubase is not the DAW for that.

The really big downside of FL is the lack of good hardware support. Though it can be fixed with a bit more effort :p

You're absolutely right. That's why FL is so loved by, especially, beginners. It has a very easy learning curve. There are also producers who use FL via ReWire in Cubase so they can use FL's sequencer, but use Cubase to mix and master the track. FL has it's good features and is suitable to use professionally, but the fact most professional users choose <insert DAW name here> over FL, has to say something. But that's, like I said, another discussion.

Thats also probaly that cubase is just a "standard" (or logic when you use apple)

And it works. Probaly when I get more hardware synths ill switch on to Cubase and probaly rewire FL.

Loophole:
Pim:
Setenza:Hyperdrive, Frontliner, Josh & Wesz and B-Front use FL Studio, Scope DJ used it though :pacman:

Hyperdrive is not really a "Famous" DJ. All the other are on Logic or Cubase
And B-Front used Reason before, not FL.

respect. reason is one retarded bitch to work with - no vst-support.

Kinda true... As long as it sounds good, but it's interesting to some people (me) to know what DAW some famous producers use.

It's interesting, but offcourse it shouldn't matter. Although alot of beginners think they need the exact same soft- and hardware as their favorite producer. -Oeh, NC use Logic, so I've to use it too if I want to get the same sound and quality they have-.

Josh & Wesz are on logic I believe, most of the now famous artists, used to use FL, but have now moved to Logic/Cubase

@Pim, didin't know Pepi switched to Cubase already.

Pim:
Darycka:Just look who participated in BH contest and you have a lot of producers using FL...

People like The Vision, S Dee, etc

The question was "famous" DJ's :D
imo famous is a big word but just lets say, a DJ that can fill a whole club on his own :whoop:

Well, I went for people who actually release stuff or smth :P
Btw, The Vision can certainly be called big imo :)
