Little Hardstyle release facts and gossips topic

The Convicted:^ Well that's not really the same situation in my opinion :P

For me it is like that. Noisecontrollers as itself is a pretty stupid name, but he is my fav. Hardstyle artist so I don't even think about it :p

Just think about Technoboy

There's definitely a difference, Noisecontrollers, Headhunterz, Technoboy aliases etc are just a bit silly at most. The raw gangsta thing is just 'trying to act cool'. Forcedly trying to act edgy works reversed, it will look the opposite of cool. At least TBY etc aren't trying to sound like belonging to a 'gangsta' subculture.

You are right with that. Although Heady is trying to create an image from himself, too I think. Bas seems to be the most normal guy from them.

Digital Punk is the king of edginess, tho :+

Technoboy, NC, wildstylerz etc. are more self-ironic name imo. THe problem is most of the raw artist actually seems to take those silly live-act and label names seriously.... And of course there are disparities within the raw artists. I dont see myst and PN make up these ridicolous names - the "pursuit of thunder" theme PN use(d) is not edgy as such f.ex. But if he had called his album "pursuit of violence" and used hashtags as #Disorder #holigans etc., well then we would be back at it again

You mean like Headhunterz - Aiming For Your Brain, Victim of My Rage, High Rollerz or Scar Your Face?

Exactly. Just stating the obvious fact that it's not something exclusive to raw or a new trend. ;)

Yeah I know. The thing is that once it gets overused, it gets annoying. And back then it wasn't overused yet at least :P

Edit: Now we're talking anyways, are you ever gonna release World On Fire? It would be sad if it gets dusted :(

honestly, who gives a flying fuck about the name? lots of other genres have artists that just use their full name or their first name/surname. I'm sure they see most names in hardstyle as ridiculous.

As long as the music is good, that's all that matters.

I find alot of hardstyle names silly but then I look at hardcore and you guys called Satan and The Rapist. Our scene is very gimmicky and it's good for selling merch. But how's this for silly, imagine Rebelion at say Supremacy with the evil voice over introducing them

(btw I like the guys voice work better than Defqon voice guy)

and imagine him saying "give it up for Raymond Baird and Gary O'Dea!"

It's just a name and sure the gangsta thing can pure cringe at times but not any less than Villain and his fake American accent or Digital Punk podcast hosting.

How can someone have a fake accent when it's not his native language?
