MoH Top 100 2017

Postby bassfaceBAM » 08 Dec 2017, 21:34

So who made a vote? I don't listen to hardcore as much as hardstyle but I have recently been getting into the new Promo album so good and A New Dawn is just amazing. Here's my top 5 (in no particular order)

Angerfist - Crusader
Deadly Guns and Rebelion - Power of the Truth
Deadly Guns and Destructive Tendencies - Armageddon
Promo - A New Dawn

These are my Top 5: :fist:

A-Kriv & Lenny Dee - Party Animal
Andy The Core - Undisputed
F. Noize vs. Anhatema - Get Down (Official F. Noize Solo Anthem)
Dyprax - Zultkoppen Koorts
Partyraiser & Angernoizer - Party Freaks feat. Rob Gee

But it was an extremely difficult decision for me. So many tracks would have deserved a place in the top 5.

Great to see Running On Empty in this, albeit "low". I just listened to almost all of the tunes to see what the scene is now, it's so much better than 99% of the list on every level. I otherwise couldn't tell most of the tracks apart.

This list is a joke. Tracks which deserved the top spot weren't even close or not on the list.

But mainstream hardcore is so bad atm, even "fast rawstyle" and uptempo can replace it.

Nr 1 spot says it all about this list. Luckily there are other artists and tracks besides this list... but this trend could be dangerous for all the movement.

I echo the spoiler thoughts of Reverse Ghost. I love hardcore so much but the majority of tracks in all subsets of hardcore in the last 3 years are shit.

2010 was the last good year for Mainstream Hardcore imo. Became too singalong and now this edgy or uptempo stuff is kinda a backlash I guess.

My interest in hardcore has dropped off massively in the past 2-3 years. The scene is in a really bad way, and I don't see it ending anytime soon, unfortunately.

I certainly hope we get one of those. Could weed out a lot of the talentless twats that regurgitate the same shit over and over again. The passion and soul is sorely lacking at the moment.

Imho mainstyle is already beyond its worst time.

Yet i have to agree with MorbidAngel regarding the feeling the sound delivers. The overly "digital" sound seems always so sterile even if theres a lot of distortion on the kick.
The aggression in the music seems more like a ADHD-kid who snorted his medication and then goes mad using his plastic-pistol. Before it rather reminded me of ancient gods being really angry or similar stuff :+)

Big agree at ppl complaining about Peacock! His music is a bad joke which is incredibly successful.
