Since i just have a battlemixer i don't even use the "standard" ones...
I think effects are annoying if put in too much...

I use reverb and delay, helps making smoother transitions (Not sure if it's called that, i use it when changing between 2 tracks) :)

That's the reason why I don't really like Ran-D's sets...

BTW, my favourite effect is flanger, I often use it :)

I use the flanger.
At a break or when the track is building up.
For transitions is also use filters for some fine-tuning ;)

I don't use any external devices, if I am spinning somewhere where they have a DJM800 I sometimes use roll and/or reverse roll, I also use the flanger, but if I do I only have the effects channel open for about 30/40% or so, and then I use the beat timer thingy (the one that says 1/2, 1/2, 2/1, 4/1 etc.) to create some sort of rhythmic flanger, it can sound really cool :)

Also, x2 what Zanshi says, not too much :)

If I spin at home, I don't use any effects, my DJ Console doesn't have any cool ones.

Loops doesn't fit in hardstyle, it's hard to get a loop to sound good. :)

most decks have a looping and scratching function
so i wouldn't consider that fx tbh, it's more of a mixing technique
(which i don't use cause i lack ze skillz :+ )

Chicks dig flange...... Good for build ups since I play a lot of "euphoric" Hardstyle and 1/2 beat delay to get a nice double beat sometimes that I normally mash up the 2tracks together when I'm transitioning so a bit of manual filter can help aswell if it gets outta control

The only effect I will use is delay.

What I do more than anything is re-arrange tracks or cut out certain parts and use that instead of the original. I can't stand tracks with a simple 64 beat intro so I'll pull the end of a track and put it in the front blending it with the original intro or I'll loop a certain sections that don't show any track progression.

Example
