I love America and I love coming over there, but this is exactly why I dislike America on the other hand as well (this whole "evil" thing and it not only counts for music)... :(

This.

Tbh, I've never been to a legitimate rave/party simply because of how much crap I've heard about them. I realize that many raves/parties are not filled with drugs and that there are many "cleaner" raves out there, but, thanks to the reputation it received from people, I've simply never thought of going to a rave as a good idea. Soooooo many people say such bad things about them that I worry that they aren't as great as I thought. :\

Anyway, my point is that sure there may in fact be "evil" things at raves, but I think that it gets over exaggerated way too much. This over exaggeration doesn't help at all, and just gives raves the reputation for being chaotic places to get stoned, drunk, and utterly messed up. It has even affected me the wrong way. :(

I understand what you mean by this, and I do admit that you are right about this. For some reason, the USA tends to be one of the strictest nations in the world when it comes to regulations and rules. It absolutely sucks sometimes, but tbh, I kind of think that it sort of helps keeps things in balance sometimes.

Coming from an American perspective, I absolutely love going to Europe, and some of my favorite places ever are located in European nations. But to be honest, the one thing I really don't like about Europe is that it's almost too loose in some cases. Maybe this is coming from living and growing up in a more "strict" country or maybe it's coming from my "crazy" moral perspective/believes, but IMO, in some cases, it's just too loose. (Keep in mind that I'm not trying to insult Europeans or Euro nations in any way...As I said before, I otherwise absolutely love Europe with a passion...This is just my opinion :) )

I can see what you're saying Lop-Sided. Although being more loose about things can have its benefits. Take drinking for example. Here you have to be 21 and when I went to Italy when I was 15 I got served no problem because I was tall. But when you are loose about things like drinking it doesn't become such a problem. If we lowered the drinking age then yea there would be that short period of crazy shit goin down but it would die off after awhile. I mean how many underage kids here do you see go to a house or college party and are like" you know what guys...Im gonna just chill and drink 2 or 3 beers tonight" , almost none. You will get called a p---y most likely lol. Its a rebellious thing so when it comes time to drink underage at a friends party or something its just "Lets....get....shitfaced" lol. As far as the drugs go I am all for being strict about them.
I think its just a culture shock kind of thing going over there. If you saw a naked lady on TV here on a normal cable channel mid-day there would be lawsuits and all hell would break loose haha.

Im so pumped to go to Europe again though.

Some things are too strict here as far as shows go. I know the good lasers like over in Europe are illegal here. There are too many restrictions on shows here....that may be why Q-dance most likely wont throw a show here. Too many people quick to file a lawsuit here if something goes wrong. Like yo if you are prone to seizures from the lights or something then uh...do not go knowing there will be crazy lights.

Thats like If I was allergic to foam going to a fuckin foam party in a club then bein like "IM SUING!!"

You make sense, but if you think about it from their perspective, it must really suck if you want to watch an amazing lazer show, but get a seisure everytime you try to.

Either way, I still think that sueing for that reason is stupid. :\ There could've been other solutions.

In Sweden theres a law against crowd scanning aswell...i thought i had seen awesome lasershows until i got to Holland where you get them straight in the face! Thats how you enjoy lasershows to the fullest imo.

well, in russia it's virtually impossible to set up a nice fire-show (like the fireworks at the closing act of defqon or decibel)... it's not really banned, but you have to go through so much red tape and spend so much money on bribes, that you'll prolly end up with giving the idea of fireshow at a party up( that's sad(
and basically, there're no raves in russia(( yeah, there's an occasional event once or twice a year, but it all happens in moscow or saint-petersburg, and i for example live in yekaterinburg, that is 2000 kilometers away from moscow... so i have absolutely no possibility of going there(( that is a sad thing(

If you haven't already noticed (I mean, by looking at tour dates and locations and whatnot) the last popular hardstyle DJ we had down here was Headhunterz sometime at the end of last year. We don't get a lot attention, usually overshadowed by Australia's and California's popular and more practical locations. We only have a few local hardstyle DJ's (JRod..). So, all we get are the sellouts and sh---y electro/dubstep DJ's with the occasional trance DJ. So, the music has attracted a lot of [unwanted] attention, which is leading to the scene's demise. :'(

There are tons of mokes (kind of like punks, just more "gangsta") who go to pick up girls or start fights and whatnot. Tons of chronics selling and looking for drugs. I'll be honest, I occasionally roll (I used to take one every week. Now I might take one every other month), but I've never behaved the way these idiots behave on it.

I don't think it's the drugs that are directly soiling the scenes. In fact, it was the drugs that helped start it. But I think the corruption that comes with the abuse of these drugs is the key to the decline and [hopefully not] the downfall of the scene.

I am from chicago and I havent been to many raves but, most of what I have seen and heard is that everyone gets fucked up. The Headhunterz party I went to was pretty "clean" though. At around 30 seconds in that girl grinding made me laugh so hard.

The people in that video are the cancer that's killing the scene. Fucking Swaq YOLO fags who will do anything as long as they aren't ever sober. Pisses me off to no extent. Shit, now I'm mad. Oh well, I'll just follow HardDanceNation to look for local shows/parties and heavily research the DJ's playing so that I pay to get hit with that shit brostep.

i have been in the dance scene for years in the states. living in the bay area helps a lot with the way that SF was back in the 90s. But i am really fucking tired of all the ETARDS running around and shit. it messes up everything for me. i go for the music not to get fucked up on drugs. it pisses me off when i have been going to shows for years and then everyone and their mom starts going to the shows and does not even know that artist playing. then they have to change everything bc ppl are fucking dumb. Love Parade EDC and more are examples. they just have been blown way out here. raving was about the music at one point. i cant wait for it to go back.

And lets go back to when i was in highschool. everyone telling i was gay for listening to electronic music. or ohhhh you listen to electronic music you must do E. Now lets fast forward to now. for all you DUB STEP fans. IT IS NOT HARD. IT IS WEAK. do not compare it to hardcore or hardstyle. and please dont talk to me about electronic music if you dont know what you are talking about. Bc it is sad. when i have to shit all over you. and i hate when shit goes mainstream keep the mainstream away from me. bc thats all they know. when i start playing there first tracks and you dont even know them just shut up.

I am sorry for the words i have used in this post but this has really pissed me off a lot. years of listening to electronic music and things i have heard. Granted I listen to a lot of styles hardstyle hardcore and Gabber are my favorite.
FUCK DUBSTEP and ETARDS
